Master Taho Husain began his training on the Ivory Coast under the tutelage of Shijo Grand Master Konan K. Desire (a disciple of Chou-Man –Kai. Chou-Man-Lai, a renowned Master in Shanghai and Taipei from 1953-1971 at the Monastery of Shanghai). He was a scholar of the Oracle Divination Arts, extra sensory perception, Pathology channels and a holistic Daoist master in Physiology, Philosophies and Internal Martial
Arts called Nei Jia Quan.
Shijo Konan Desire, a West African native, moved to China when he was nine years old. During his residence, he was sent to the Monastery of Shanghai School of Wushu. While there, Shijo Desire studied at the Academy of Chinese Tui-Na (Chinese traditional acupressure, the study of human channel pathology, biology, and physiology.)He studied many of the different Asian Martial Arts, religions, and acupressure techniques. In Canton, at age of 20, under Shi-Gung, Grand Master Chu-Mankai, he became a student and began training in the art of Nei Jia Quan. Shifu Taho’s first instructor, Shifu Serri Guillome, also a West African native, who studied under a Chinese master while docked at a port in the Ivory Coast, taught him the practice of Sui-Lam Kung Fu for eight months. It was through an introduction by Shifu Serri Guillome that Shi Jo Taho was introduced to Shijo Desire and became privileged to begin his apprentice at the age of 12. The Honorable Shijo Desire was very well known on the Ivory Coast for his exceptional loving kindness and great talent throughout his lifespan.
Shifu Taho studied and lived with his Honorable Master. After school, he began a very strict and rigorous training schedule for 12 years thus becoming proficient in achieving mastery in the Arts of Shaolin Tao, Cha Quan, Lohan Kuen Pai (the 18 palms of Buddha or sometimes called Long Fist Arts), the esoteric arts of Nei Jia Quan (Internal Martial Arts), Nei Gung, (Internal Fitness), Wei-Gung (external Fitness), the study of Kinesiology, plyometrics, human behavior, the theory and philosophies of the practice of yin-yangology, Qi-Gung (Iron Vest), Yin Qin-Na (grappling and locking techniques) and Daoism spirituality.

The influence, guidance and very close relationship he had with his father instilled in him the spirituality of the islamic Sufi religion, the source of Shifu Taho Husain’s due diligence in learning the Martial Arts.Shifu taho philosophy and spiritual doctrine also rooted in his origine of the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria. The combination all of these mentors would set him on the path of what he was to become.
While under ShiJo Desire’s apprenticeship, Shifu Taho cultivated many friendships among the West Coast Martial Arts practitioners from diverse Martial Arts backgrounds including: Viet-Vo-Dao, Wado-Ryu, Shito-Ryu, Budo, Shorin-Ji Kempo, Shotokan Arts. The respected styles of these multiple Martial Arts were routinely taught and practiced by the masters. The Ivory Coast was known to have made up more than 50% of Tae Kwon Do practitioners and masters. The competition for youth was very real and intense. Taho’s diligent training, accomplishments, personal internal challenges and many competitions resulted and inspired the creation of his own method of training

In the 1980’s, after accomplishing his level of skill in the foundation of Martial Arts, Shi Jo Taho became a member of (AIKF) Association Ivoirien de Kung Fu. He became an elite member of this esteemed organization and assisted as a teacher to instruct the Military Police. This membership provided Shifu Taho the opportunity to travel throughout Europe and Asia, competing with those considered among the best in the world in the field of Internal Martial Arts. By 1990, Shi Jo Taho had earned the respect and honor from many Federations of the Martial Arts as the best instructor. Devotion, perseverance, and skills ultimately lead him to membership into the prestigious Belgium Wu –Shu
Kung Fu Federation.
Shifu Taho has been teaching for over a decade in many prestigious and exclusive health clubs and some of New York City’s Universities.
Shifu Taho, founder of IronFlower Method, now teaches at Divine Fitness where he uses the fitness method of Shaolin monks to teach all mankind to train like a Warrior Monk. Shifu Taho’s way of fitness is to lengthen and elongate the muscles and tendons under his expertise and knowledge.
